Report: Evaluation of the Impact of National HIV Testing Day

This report describes a study that analyzed the effectiveness of National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) events conducted during 2011-2014 in identifying new HIV-positive diagnoses. Results show that NHTD had a substantial impact on increasing the number of persons who knew their HIV status and in diagnosing new HIV infections, and also proved effective in reaching persons at high risk disproportionately affected by HIV.
