Report: Human Papillomavirus Vaccination Coverage among Female Adolescents in Managed Care Plans
CDC and the National Committee for Quality Assurance analyzed data from the 2013 Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set to determine whether the recommended HPV vaccination series is being administered to adolescents with health insurance. In 2013, the median HPV vaccination coverage level for female adolescents among commercial and Medicaid plans was 12% and 19% respectively, indicating that there are significant opportunities for improvement in HPV vaccination coverage among female adolescents.
