Resource: Preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) Training

This training presents educators with approaches to preventing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and helping students who may already be affected by ACEs. Throughout the training, participants will learn the following: 

  • the definition of ACEs  

  • how ACEs influence child development, health, and success later in life 

  • risk and protective factors for ACEs 

  • ways that ACEs can affect learning and success in school 

  • tips for recognizing signs that a student may be affected by ACEs 

  • prevention and intervention strategies that educators can implement to prevent or lessen the impact of ACEs
