This WorkforceGPS tip sheet addresses one of the main reasons that participants disengage from apprenticeship programs: the behavioral effects of past or present trauma. By implementing trauma-informed care (TIC) practices, YARG grantees can better mitigate the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), thereby supporting recovery from trauma and motivating a higher level of commitment to career path goals.
