The purpose of this program is to support states and Tribes with implementing youth (up to age 24) suicide prevention and early intervention strategies in schools, educational institutions, juvenile justice systems, substance use and mental health programs, foster care systems, pediatric health programs, and other child- and youth-serving organizations.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to enhance and expand mentoring services for children and youth impacted by opioids and other substance misuse. This program supports mentoring programs to reduce juvenile delinquency, substance misuse, and problem and high-risk behaviors such as truancy.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to support projects designated for funding in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024 (Public Law 118-42) to improve the functioning of the criminal justice system, to prevent or combat juvenile delinquency, and to assist victims of crime (other than compensation).

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is seeking an invited application for funding. OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety, protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. With this solicitation, OVC seeks to support an entity that will (1) competitively select and fund subawards to support direct services to children and youth who are crime victims impacted by the Nation’s drug crisis and (2) provide technical assistance to the selected subawardees. This program furthers the DOJ’s mission by enhancing the field’s response to young victims of crime and their caregivers and families affected by the drug crisis. The Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Community Services (OCS) will solicit applications to award approximately $1.5 million in Community Economic Development (CED) discretionary funds to Community Development Corporations (CDCs) to stimulate new CED project development through administrative capacity building.OCS aims to align this funding opportunity with the following priority areas: (1) Executive Order 14008: Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad and the Justice40 Initiative, which underscore funding support for energy communities, (2) increased equity in geographic distribution of CED funds, in accordance with the CED statute, and (3) breaking down service silos and leveraging existing partnerships across OCS programs to reduce poverty through a wraparound services model for communities with low incomes. The objective of the CED Planning Grants is to stimulate new projects in underserved and under resourced communities. OCS intends to center equity in this funding opportunity, focusing these resources in persistent high-poverty areas with struggling economies that have been unable to put forth a viable CED project in the past. The goal of this funding opportunity is to provide CDCs with financial assistance for administrative capacity building. The awards will be a crucial step in connecting CDCs with CED resources for social and revenue reinvestment in local communities to help spark economic growth. OCS is encouraging applications from CDCs that target urban and rural areas.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to fund mentoring organizations to enhance and expand mentoring services for children and youth who are at risk or high risk for delinquency, victimization, and juvenile justice system involvement.

With this solicitation, OJJDP seeks to provide funding to the Office of Attorney General of the District of Columbia (OAGDC) to improve public safety through two evidence-based initiatives designed to reduce juvenile delinquency.

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit proposals that implement elements from INL El Salvador’s roadmap to strengthen restorative and rehabilitative justice in El Salvador’s juvenile justice system, reduce juvenile recidivism rates, and restore community integrity. The purpose of this project is to strengthen the regulatory framework of the juvenile justice system in conjunction with key stakeholders (the First Lady’s office, CONAPINA, the Supreme Court, the Attorney’s General Office, the Public Defender’s Office, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Governance). Proposals should include activities to assist stakeholders in drafting a National Juvenile Justice Policy, assist CONAPINA in creating regulations, policies, and SOPs to effectively manage youth in conflict with the law (YICL), and help CONAPINA and juvenile judges improve coordination and work together to propose legal reforms that support rehabilitative programs for adolescents. Activities should increase shared understanding among key stakeholders, institutionalize rehabilitation programs for adolescents, and promote juvenile court judges applying more alternative sentencing options.
